Sami Bradford

Sami plays one of the Storytellers and the villagers Rosemary, Rose-Marie, and Rosary. Sami wants to be in the olympics for swimming and to be a famous author and/or illustrator. Sami can both shake her eyes and they change colour. Her favorite book is the Parent Trap and one of her favorite books is Land Of Stories.

Kade plays one of the Storytellers and the fairy Cinder. Kade has the dreams of becoming an astronaut and getting a bike. Her favorite movies are the Wicked films and she has many favorite books like the Wings of Fire Series, The Belgariad series, and the Adventures Wanted series.

Lizzie plays Isadora. Lizzie is 12 years old and has big dreams of traveling to every continent and acting in a movie. Lizzie has 5 siblings and is involved in volleyball, basketball, and softball. Lizzie also plays the French horn and guitar. This is Lizzie's 5th show.

Kenleigh can’t wait to stand up on stage as the lady in waiting Beatrice! She has goals of learning French and how to play the guitar. Kenleigh can already play the piano and saxophone, she also knows Latin. Kenleigh's favorite books are the Book Thief and The Hunger Games. Kenleigh is also siblings with Hannah in the show! This is Kenleigh’s 9th show.

Riley plays the villagers Sherry, Carrie, and Terry. Riley is 10 years old and has the dreams of buying a cow and winning a wish at a carnival. She has 14 pets and plays 5 sports. Her favorite movie is Jaws and her favorite book series is Harry Potter. Riley has a non-identical twin.

Embry plays the villagers Benny, Kenny, and Lenny. She participates in 3 sports and has 4 pets. Embry has the goals of becoming an expert gymnast and becoming an ATA instructor. Embry's favorite movie is the Simpsons movie and her favorite book is Good Night Gorilla.

Declan plays the villagers Clark, Bark, and Flark. This is Declan’s second play ever. He wants to learn how to juggle 3 balls at once.Declan’s brother, Callum, is also in The Epic Quest Of The Damsels In Distress. His favorite book is The Green Ember and his favorite movie series is Star Wars.

Rory plays the rogue princess Talia. The Epic Quest Of The Damsels In Distress is Rory’s seventh show. She is joining the Shade Tree Players in August for their trip to London! Rory has the goals of acting on Broadway and becoming a famous actress. Her favorite media pieces include People We Meet On Vacation (the movie) and A Series Of Unfortunate Events (the book).

Willow Perry

Willow plays the dragon Ipswich and the fairy Quartz. Willow is the daughter of the director Amanda Perry. Willow wants to be a mathematician and a famous writer when she grows up. Willow's favorite movie is In Your Dreams and her favorite book is The Princess and the Frog.

Gavin plays the characters of Sir Bartleby and Prince Hugo. Gavin is 10 years old, The Epic Quest Of The Damsels In Distress is his second play, and he plans on being in many more. Gavin's favorite books and movies are The Lord of The Rings and Harry Potter.

Charlie plays the sidekick Bixby. She is 11 years old and this is her 5th play. Charlie knows German and loves to build Lego. She has the goals of talking to animals and to play with an octopus. Her favorite books are Green Ember and Violet and the Volcano. Charlie's favorite movies are the Spy Kids movies and the Harry Potter films.

Callum Wirtz

Callum plays both the Whippersnapper and Maximus. Callum is brothers with Declan also in the Epic Quests of Damsels in Distress. Callum loves both Star Wars and books; his favorite is Revenge of the Sith.

Elsie plays the Guard Captain in The Epic Quest Of The Damsels In Distress. Elsie is 10 years old and has the dreams of going to Harry Potter world and going to a Taylor Swift Concert. Elsie’s favorite movie is The Greatest Showman, and her favorite book series is Harry Potter.

Graycia Stetson

Graycia is 11 years old and plays Queen Mab of the Fairies. She has goals of meeting with every member of One Direction, without knowing any One Direction songs. Graycia’s favorite book is One Of Us Is Lying.

Fiona Kline

Misty, Angry Villager

Finona plays Misty the fairy in The Epic Quest of the Damsels in Distress, Fiona’s favorite food is spaghetti. Fiona also has big dreams of becoming an Olympian one day. Her favorite movie is K-pop Demon Hunters.

Amanda Perry

Director

Amanda Perry has worked with Dakota Stage/Shade Tree Players as a director, educator, costumer, artist and actor for over 20 years, bringing diverse plays, musicals, classes and other unique theatrical experiences for all ages to the community! She is also honored to be the current Artistic Director of Dakota Stage. She is a graduate of Drake University in Des Moines, IA, and has a BFA in Theatre Performance, with emphasis in acting, directing and design.

In her career, Amanda has worked with many different arts and education organizations to educate students, train actors and directors, and create unique theatrical productions and other artistic events and opportunities. She has directed over 60 plays and musicals, most recently the DSL productions of A Dusty Echo, The Underpants, Sweeney Todd and The Crucible. Amanda also specializes in children’s theatre, and has directed many of her own adaptations of Shakespeare’s plays. She recently directed Puffs and Just Another High School Play and Alice in Wonderland with Shade Tree Players.

Amanda has two children, Oliver and Willow, who are also enthusiastically involved in Shade Tree Players! Amanda would like to thank her amazing husband for all he does while she is at rehearsal, and the cast and crew for all their hard work!
